Lyrics
I’m Sorry, Stupid A Parody of “Something Stupid” New Lyrics by Steve Bryant I know I’ll get suspended if I really have the guts to say what’s on my mind. I’ll piss somebody off, they’ll write a letter, make the station cover its behind. I can’t use words like “ho” and “slut” and “loser” even if they were dumb as a quarry. Even said in jest, I’ll get no rest until they make me say, “I’m sorry.” When a famous person dies, most everyone alive will try to sing their praise. Doesn’t matter how they died, it seems their past is always shrouded in a haze. They could be a junkie, or a pusher, or someone who raped a child or two. If they are a superstar, the media will only say that “we love you.” It doesn’t matter if they never bath and smell a lot like rotten calamari, I say it on the air, they cry “no fair” and then they make me say “I’m sorry.” Making fun of dead celebrities used to be better than sex or Atari, Political correctness went and spoiled it all; they make me say “I’m sorry.”
